CONSULTATIONS
Consultations are run by appointment with
the principal vet being either Hamish or Karen. This helps ensure continuity of care & avoids 'seeing a different vet every time'.
On occasions, when we are on leave, a fully qualified, experienced veterinarian will be on duty for your pet's veterinary needs.
SURGERY
From routine surgical desexing to orthopaedic procedures, removal of growths, wound repair and reconstruction we have a wealth of experience from many years in clinical practice.
We also have a strong relationship with a registered specialist surgical team when needed.
VACCINATIONS
We proudly offer high quality vaccination products to protect your dog, cat and rabbit from the important infectious diseases in New Zealand vaccination
DENTISTRY
Dental care is extremely important for the health and welfare of your pet.
Dental disease can be a source of chronic hidden pain.
We routinely help our patients with their oral health by ultrasonically descaling and polishing teeth.
If necessary teeth are extracted. These teeth are usually either broken, have cavities or have lost surrounding dental support tissue.
EMERGENCY CARE
We are members of the Afterhours Veterinary Clinic and have 24 hour, 7 days per week care available for your pet.

GROOMING
Cat grooming including full body clips, coat thinning, knot removal. This is usually performed under sedation to reduce stress
LAB TESTS
Laboratory and diagnostic tests are available both in clinic and with an accredited veterinary laboratory.
MICROCHIPPING
Microchips have proved invaluable in returning pets to their rightful owners.
They are safe and reliable to insert and help to provide peace of mind should your pet go 'walk about'.

We are a highly experienced companion animal veterinary clinic focused on improving the health and well being of your precious pet. We are an independent, family owned practice that has been operating for over 30 years.

We have on-site surgical, laboratory and X-ray facilities. Your pet is monitored by a dedicated surgical nurse with advanced monitoring equipment throughout surgery.
Our recovery cages are generously sized with soft bedding and heating.
There is a separate cat ward for your cat's comfort.
We are supported by the accredited Gribbles Animal Health Laboratory and have access to qualified ultrasonographers and specialist teams when required.
